Light for the Blind
Charity aimed at saving the sight of people with visual problems in
India. The project is the brainchild of Fr. Thomas Rathapillil who
served as deacon in the parish.

Locke, William
Colliery owner at Newland Hall. Locke was a Catholic and a great
benefactor of the church in Normanton and Wakefield. He paid the
full costs of the renovation of the sanctuary in 1872.
