Needlework Guild , Catholic
The Catholic Needlework Guild has had a base in the parish since at
least as early as 1913.
Newland Hall
Site of a former residence of a preceptory of the Knights Hospitaller
of the Order of St. John. Later the home of William Locke, Colliery
owner and benefactor of the Catholic Church in Normanton and Wakefield
during the 1870's. Locke had a chapel at Newland Hall.
Newnham, James
Schoolmaster at St. Austin's in 1851, in the days when lessons still
took place within the parish rooms beneath the church.
Noble, Fr. George (S.J.)
Assistant priest within the parish during 1869.
Nostell Priory
Historic building on the outskirts of Wakefield with links to Catholicism
and St. Austin's. The building was once the home of the Irelands,
the family to which Joseph Ireland, architect of St. Austin's, belonged.
Nunan, Fr. John
Parish priest at St. Austin's from 1998 to present.
