Welcome to the website of the Catholic Parish of St. Martin de Porres.  This parish incorporates the churches of St. Austin's, Wentworth Terrace and English Martyrs, Dewsbury Road, on the north side of WAKEFIELD, West Yorkshire- in the Diocese of Leeds

 ACCESS TO St AUSTIN's

 Wentworth Terrace is now  ONE WAY towards Northgate. To reach here by car from Northgate/Leeds Road, College Grove, the south or east you have to make the “Great Circle”: towards town on Northgate (by Charlie Browns): Next RIGHT to Rishworth St (one way) then NEXT RIGHT to Laburnum Road. At the top of Laburnum Road you can go Right OR Left onto Wentworth Terrace. 

NB! LABURNUM ROAD: at our request, the one way system on Laburnum Road is suspended on Sundays from the 22nd January to the 18th March because of the Northgate closure on those days. You can drive DOWN it on those days.

Parking mostly UNCHANGED, but spaces reduced: restrictions unchanged, so blue badges as before. Please do not hesitate to  maintain our rights to park around here. Apart from double yellow lines there are  NO parking restrictions around here at Saturday Vigil/Sunday Mass times. We are told that Funeral cars CAN park outside church. We are trying with some difficulty to arrange some signage to show how to get here. We CAN park on the new BUS BAY on Wentworth St (yellow lines now removed) in the evenings and Weekends

HGV’s (large lorries!) are not allowed on Wentworth Terrace
