The objective of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God, through the members by prayer and active co-operation with Mary in the work of the Church. 

The Legion is available to the Bishop and Parish Priest for many forms of social service and Catholic action extending the lay apostolate into the community and undertaking visits to hospitals, retirement homes and private homes. The Legion will undertake any work requested by the Parish Priest, but is not involved in providing monetary assistance

Meetings are held weekly and a work commitment is required from each individual Legionary.
