Confirmation

 

Aims:
The preparation programme for Confirmation begins in December for candidates who are in at least year 9 at school.  Candidates meet either here at St Austin’s and at the Cathedral Hall in Leeds.  During the programme, they discuss their faith and enjoy the benefits of meeting with other teenagers who are faith minded.  Candidates are presented to the Parish in the Rites of Enrolment and Rite of Election. 

Confirmation usually occurs during May or June

Those over the age of 18 wishing to be confirmed usually do so through the RCIA programme.
